Question about HP Pavilion DV4015cl Notebook
I have a dv6000 laptop, it seem powers on however the screen is black. Nothing is viewable. The blue lights, when on, also flicker ever so often. I also noticed that the power adapter, when inserted in notebook, you need to hold it tight, in order for the light surrounding it to turn on, indicating that it is charging. Not having any compture knowledge, can someone give some directions. Much appreciated,
Like me, you are in deep trouble. There seem to be a major problem with this serie and HP is doing a recall to fix the problem. I am writing you from Brazil and here I had to SUE HP to get things done. Yet, all I got was a chance to send my laptop back to Norway where I bought it during the time I was living there. They say they will fix it and send it back to me but lots of people are saying they fix it and the problem remains. I dont wish to spend 100 dollars or so to send it to Norway for nothing so I am looking for other ways to solve the problem. You can contact me at email@example.com if you wish.

To determine if the problem is the lcd screen, plug a regular pc monitor or flat screen into the 15 pin High-Density D-shell (VGA) port on the back panel of the laptop and power the laptop up.
But it sounds like you are having some issues with the laptop chassis. Has anyone take the laptop apart for any reason? They may not have put it back together properly.
