my Polaroid 2700 just went dead, there was a spark and then a pop and the screen went black. The tv is completely dead. I've always been a bit disappointed with this tv anyway. I bought this about 3.5 years ago from the now defunct Circuit City. Oh well, RIP and NEVER buy Polaroid tvs.
I have to tell you that I'm finding that this is about the life expectancy of the first generation LCD TV's. It could be fixed/repaired for between $100 to $200 at a good TV Service Shop. You may just want to put that money into another TV! Blessings, A/V Media Tech Guy
