1 long beep dram refresh failed
remove everything

now a few things to check video card, ram, cpu fan plugged in right area,
you mite want to reset the cmos, by jumping the connectors for few seconds, then turn machine off, remove jumper, than just install cpu and fan, ram, speaker, keyboard, turn on if ok add video card, turn on , if ok, than install hhd, 1 at a time, than restart system if boots ok than move to next device, keep doing this until you installed everything you want or have to have in the system

I have installed a new mother board from gygabyte: GA-MA77OT-UD3 when i turn on the PC i hear 4 long beeps and than it restarts and goes all over again. need help.

On the motherboard, connect all power connectors, video(if you have intergrated video at this time I would just use that),cpu, cpu fan,one stick of ram. Nothing else, you can connect the front panel power-on button just to make it easier to turn on. When you have all the basics connected try to turn it on and see if BIOS comes up and the beeps go away. Do not connect HD,USB,or any thing else. If you get the same thing , swap the stick of ram with another stick. IF you get BIOS , one at a time start connecting other components and starting the system back up to make sure it boots normally. If still no chage, then it lies in your power supply , cpu, motherboard(although I know you said it's new they do at times come D.O.A).

Building desktop: no beeps, no video The mobo LED are on, fan is running but getting no signal to monitor. I've tested the video card in another pc and confirmed working. The only time the mobo beeps...

If the cpu was bad- nothing would turn on--be sure the cable is good-- also be sure the VGA is enabled in the bios- since you cant see the video you have to reset the cmos setting--unplug the unit and remove the cmos battery-reinstall after one minute and check for video

Motherboar fail, no video, power supply ok help

Firstly, remove the RAM and turn on the system, if you hear the beep sound continuously that means everything is perfect expect RAM.
Clean the track of RAM at both sides by pencil eraser completely.
Also clean the port of RAM.

Secondly reinstall the CPU with CPU FAN and also clean the FAN.

Third one is that remove all the add-on's card and than turn on the system.

Computer on, but no video output

sounds more like your motherboard,

unplug everything so all you have is ram (1 piece), cpu + harddrive(essential parts) no sound card, use on board graphics if you have it and if no luck then more likely the motherboard. Ihad a works machine go down before christmas with the same symptons and the problem was the motherboard

hope this helps

Recently built a PC Power is On with No Display

Well depending on your bios version, it could be an array of things.

First try removing the video card and re-seating it.

Then re-seat the RAM.

If the problem persists re-seat the CPU.

Let us know the exact model of your motherboard so we can better troubleshoot your problem.

When you turn on your computer the system does a POST (Power On Self Test). If the POST sees an eror it will tell the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) and the BIOS will beep a code or display a code that indicated the problem.

Different motherboards contain different BIOS versions. BIOSes use different beep codes for problems depending on the manufacturer.

No Output to monitor, no beeps, fans all OK

Hi karanda,
The green led on the board shows green letting you know there is power to the borad.
Does your GFX card have dual outputs? Try plugging into the other output.
If your monitor light goes from green to amber than your PCI-E is not putting out signal. Pull & re-seat video card.
Did you check Asus to see if your CPU is supported & check what bios version you may need to run CPU?
Chcek here: Check what your M2M-E supports.

Your board only supports these two CPU's
Phenom 9500 (HD9500WCJ4BGD),2.2GHz,95W,SocketAM2+,Quad-Core
Phenom 9600 (HD9600WCJ4BGD),2.3GHz,95W,SocketAM2+,Quad-Core

You need Bios version 0802 in order to run the above CPU's.

Good Luck & kind regards!

Mach speed motherboard problem

I had the same problem once. I took it to CompUSA to have them diagnose the problem, and they said I fried the motherboard or CPU. The fans turn on just because your power supply is on.
