If your Wii Remote is not responding It may need to be synced up. I have given you both ways of syncing your Wii. After doing this Please don't forget to rate me as " Very Helpful" & feedback is appreciated - thanks

Synchronizing the Wii Remote with the Wii Console Synchronizing the Wii Remote to a Wii console allows the Wii Remote to communicate with the console. The Wii Remote included with your system should already be synchronized to your console. However, all additional Wii Remotes you use with your system also need to be synced in order to function properly..
There are two different modes of synchronizing (syncing):

  • STANDARD MODE - The Standard Mode procedure is used when adding additional Wii Remotes to your system or if you want to re-synchronize your original Wii Remote. Once synchronized, the Wii Remote will stay synced to the console unless you overwrite the settings by syncing the remote to a different console. For instructions on Standard Mode syncing, please read below.
Standard Mode SynchronizationNote: Make sure you have placed batteries in the Wii Remote
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote.

  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
  5. My wii counsel turns on fine, my remotes are with - wiiremotesynchstandard.gifThis procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to your system.

One Time Mode SynchronizationNote: This mode temporarily removes Standard Mode synchronization setup for all Wii Remotes until the power of the Wii console is turned off. When the power is turned back on again, the Standard Mode settings will return.
  1. Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the Wii console.
  2. Select the My wii counsel turns on fine, my remotes are with - homesmall.gifttings option from the Home Button menu.
  3. Select the Reconnect Option.
  4. wiiremotesynchotm1.gif
  5. Press the 1 and 2 Buttons at the same time on the Wii Remote that you want to synchronize with the console. If you are syncing multiple Wii Remotes, press the 1 and 2 Buttons on each Wii Remote immediately (without a significant pause) in the order you want them synced. The order in which you synchronize Wii Remotes determines the player order (1 through 4)My wii counsel turns on fine, my remotes are with - wiiremotesynchotm2.gif games. The Player LED will blink during the syncing process. When the blinking stops, the connection is complete.

Bought a new will remote but it doesn't work.

Check the battery levels. You can do this by pressing A. If all 4 lights flash on and off, your batteries are completely charged. 3 lights, 2 lights, and 1 light signify 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 battery levels. If lights don't flash, replace/insert batteries.
If it's not working with your console, open up the battery cover and the flip lid on the front of the console. (If it's a Wii U, you don't need to open the flip lid.) In both places, there is a red button. (On Wii U, it's next to the flip lid.) Press both red buttons at the same time. (Your Wii will need to be powered on.) The Wii Remote will continuously flash lights until it either receives a sync signal or about a minute has passed; whichever comes first. If you've pressed the buttons and your remote is still flashing, press the button on the console again. Once the remote is synced, the flashing lights will turn into a single light; the placement of the light will vary depending on how many remotes are signed into the Wii.
*Note* Once your remote is synced, you simply need to press A to sign back in if your remote turns off.
If all of the above steps were followed, and your remote is still not functioning, contact the manufacturer. Brands such as Nintendo and Nyko are usually okay, but generics like GameStop aren't the best. It's often easiest to return it and buy a different brand.

Why can't I play the Wii there are new batteries.

You have to sync the remotes to the Wii. Open the battery compartment on the Wii Remote. There should be a little red button. Press this button. Now, on the front of the Wii, there should be a little door compartment where the SD cards etc. go. Open this door and press the red button there, after you have pressed the red button on the Wii Remote.
Your Wii Remote should now be synced with the Wii Console.

My wii remote wont turn on, i even tried a couple different new batteries but still no lights or anything

Have you tried syncing the Wii remotes? To sync, turn the Wii on, open the back of the remote and then press a red button that says "SYNC". Then open the SD card slot in the front of the Wii and press another red "SYNC" button. If you do this, your Wii remotes should be able to turn on.

If your Wii remotes still don't turn on, visit support.nintendo.com

Or call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance on your Wii.

When I turn on WII it says ''press A to continue''ut nothing happens. I have changed the batteries in the remotes but they do not respond. I have checked the sensor is plugged in.

If you have more than one remote, you may have to "sync" the remotes to your Wii system.
1. Open the battery cover on your remote and press the red "SYNC" button. The lights on the remote should begin flashing.
2. Open the cover on SD Card slot on the console and press the "SYNC" button.
3. The lights on the remote should stop flashing after a few seconds. Your remote is now ready for use.
This process must be repeated for each new remote.

If you have multiple wii remotes, make sure the remote you are using is synced to your system. In case you are not sure how to do this:
1. Open the battery cover on the remote and press the red "SYNC" button. The lights on the remote should begin flashing.
2. Open the SD slot on the Wii system and press the "SYNC" button.
3. Once the lights on the remote stop flashing, the process is complete and you should be able to use your remote.
Remember, you have to go through this process with each new remote in order for it to work.

Sudently none of my wii remote seems to work. When i press the a button, lights flashes but ther,se no activation of of the remote.

You need to syncronize your Wii-motes to the console. Open the back of the Wii-mote like you are going to put new batteries in and the front compartment on your Wii where you insert a new SD card. Press the red SYNC button on your Wii and then on the remotes and it should sync them.

Wii Remote Control Stopped Working

This happened to my son. I did some reading and found out you have to resynchronize the remote. This is from the manual
1) Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
2)Remove th battery cover on the back of the remote and press the SYNC. button inside the cover. The Player LEDs will blink.
3)Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment
4)When the Player LED blinking stops, connection is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number.
This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii remote added to your system.

This worked for me, hope it helps you.
