Problem for Toshiba XB1507 Receiver

My Toshiba AV Receiver (Model XB-1507) cycles ON

My Toshiba AV Receiver (Model XB-1507) cycles ON and OFF repeatedly when switched on. There is a noticable CLICK from inside the unit during the ON/OFF cycling, accompanied by a POP in the speakers. Tried unplugging but that had no effect. Once, the unit did power up normally and played fine. That was three months ago and has not functioned since.
