I have a GE a735 digital camera and can't upload the pics

I plug in the camera and the computer does recognize that it is plugged into the USB port; however, it won't allow me to upload my pictures from the camera itself.

I can't upload pictures from my camera b/c the usb link does not recognize the camera.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

I think my A735 General electronics camera wont work because i have a disfucting USb but my mouse is plugged into the other usb and without the mouse plugged in i cant download anything help?

Your computer isn't seeing the camera through the USB port. You should of had a disk that came with the camera try that and if you don't you have to have a serial driver for your usb port ,so go to device manager and add new device.

"little tikes- my real camera" can't upload pics

The USB connection seams to be very sensitive try pushing the USB cable into the camera firmly and wiggling it. Once the mass storage device is recognized be careful not to move the plug. The connection can be very flaky.

Good luck,

Mike

Cannot upload pics from camera to PC

Hi Ray;
Try uninstalling the Fuji software completely, through the Windows control panel. Don't use the supplied software at all. Make sure the camera is unplugged from the computer. Open "my computer" and note which drives are present. Now plug in the camera (still turned off) to the USB port. Turn the camera power switch on. Wait and see if a new drive icon shows up. It may take a minute or so. If you get a new icon (probably Fuji DSC or similar), you should be able to open the new drive and access the images through the various folders. If not, can you see images on the camera screen (when not connected to computer)? If yes, maybe a bad cable. If no, could be corrupted images on card.
