Re: Drum Install Cannon NP 4050 (full details) if...

Did you first clean the optics first. This will get the gray back ground or dark back ground gone. To remove the drum is not hard, but can be a dirty job. Fist take the 2 screws off the gray cover on the front of the drum. You may have to pull out the primary charge corona ass'y first. next disingage the developping ass'y gray lever on the right. It may be locked into place with a screw if so remove screw and turn the lever to the right. next look on the drum unit front plate for one screw near the hole where the primary was remove it and the drum should be lose. Make sure the trans port ass'y is in the down position. The drum should slide out towards you. Once it is out it is kind of self explained on how to get the drum apart. the only hard then is that the waste toner is inside the drum it self. It must be vacumed out or you will make a very big toner bomb in your room. Also, you will need a new drum blade as well. To reinstall the drum do the revese of removely. Good luck

I have a cannon 6030 copier in my office that is not serviced anymore. I recently changed the toner, following all the directions from the manual. Now It only copies blank pages. It has no other error...

manually jam the paper & see if there is any images on your drum. if no image is there, problem will be in your primary charging. Corona wire may be broken repair it.

if there is image on your drum check if your transfer is ok. replace your transfer corona wire

My cannon np 6330 leaves a large black mark down the center of all my photocopies. how do i get ride of this mark?

This is most likely a drum problem. You need a new drum. Actually when a new drum is installed there are adjustments that need to be made in service mode. So you really need to have a tech do this for you.

Copier ha a message that says replace toner drum.

It means that the internal drum unit is full of waste toner and that the drum is worn out too. The people at cannon made the drum unit to last when the waste toner internal compartment is full.

When you buy a new drum the instructions are in the box and very easy to install.

hope it helps

Cannon np 4050

The toner is not adding correctly into the developing assembly. 1) If toner hopper is overfilled, the toner motor worm gear splits as a result of the hopper becoming packed tight. 2) Sometimes the worm gear splits under normal use.

Canon np 4050 low fusing temperature

I am not 100 percent sure what is happening to your machine after it comes to ready, but I will offer some thoghts.
If it comes to ready and then goes back to a low heat situation. It very well could be the board if it doesnt maintain heat.
Now that being said, once a coiper comes to ready and reaches full heat, it will switch over to pulsating the heat roller, not staying on fully all the time. That is how fusers are designed. Full on until they reach operating temperature, then pulsating to maintain the rollers heat level.
If you are having a problem with the image not fusing to the paper, you may have an issue with the pressure roller not making good contact with the heat roller.
There may be a software setting that needs adjusted to increase the fuser operating temperature.
The flickering heat rod, once the machine reaches ready, seems appropriate.
If you want more of an idea, can you be more specific as to whether the machine is faulting out with an under heating situation, or is the image not fusing to the paper properly?
