Question about Neoware CAPIO 620 (cp4h-bb-aa0) Network Terminal
I have a Capio 620 thin client, but it will not power up. It began shutting down randomly, either at login or inputting from mouse or keyboard, now it won't power up at all. Any suggestions?
Replace the 470uf 25v caps on the putput end of the power supply. repaired 15 of them i had here.

You guys are the bomb!!!
WE DID IT!!! We fixed 2!
I replaced 2 capacitors (in each thin client) with a soldering gun on the power supply board for 29¢ each.
You’ll need a 2 temperature soldering gun (for about $50) and you can order part #P5543-ND from http://www.digikey.com
I ordered 10 to get the 29¢ price; they are 30¢ more for a quantity under 10.
Getting into the thin client was the nightmare though.

Repairguy98 has the fix. I repaired 5 of my clients in just one morning using his method. Make sure the 470uf 25v capacitors are high temp:105 degrees celsius. There are two capacitors like twins right by the 5 volt black and red leads that plug into the mainboard. The tops are swelled up and rounded because they are ruined. All of the other capacitors in the pwoer supply are OK, still perfectly flat on top. I have 9 that did this in just two months. I have only four to repair now. You can fix a client in 15 minutes and it will work like new!

I am sitting on literally 30 of the 620's and 608's etc. What the problem is: Power Supply. plain and simple
it will cost you $55 to fix the Power supply...according to HP. but it will cost you $175 to refurb the whole unit. I had 5 burn out within 1 week...Yes this sucks. the only thing you can do is:if you have a whole bunch you could try swapping out Power supplies...I had 4 with bad Graphics...and I was able to essentially bring 4 of my 30 Back online...LOL
There is no place that I have found that will sell you the Power Supplies...if you do know of a place...I am all ears
