LCD Display - Gray Shades/Lines (by 2 users)

posted by bala4 on Dec 14, 2007

I have a DEL Dimension 4100 (PIII processor) year 2000 model desk top. Recently, I bought a new Samsung 906 LCD display. Now I am seeing gray lines/shades in the monitor. During the monitor self-check it works fine. But while connected to PC, there are shades.
Is it due to Video card. If video card needs to be replaced what is the cheap and good suitable one available now. My PC has 200 watts PSU.
Please advise. Thanks.
