Question about iRobot Roomba Red 4100 Bagless Robotic Vacuum
Same thing happened to me, I called the company, and they told me to remove the battery, press the on button for 5 seconds, which clears the system, replace the battery and do a long charge 12 hours. I'm in the process of doing that now.

I've had mine for over two years. It has been in storage, a Roomba Red 4100 and had minimal use. Upon turning it on (after a three day charge from blinking red charge to solid green--wall unit to unit charge (not a quick charger, not a dock ) the unit runs 3 seconds and stops . It throws an error with the battery light and amber. This shows a battery problem. I doubt the charger brick is bad. It's like new.
IRobot / Roomba simply said that i must replace the entire unit---It was a factory reconditioned with a notice inside that an upgrade to the power system had already been made. I'm amazed and hoping for an easy solution. I'm going to charge recharge a few times, power reset each time, and then tinker with the diagnostics......nothing can really hurt at this point. I just don't think it's the blown circuit board thing. it's been working fine up until storage and done nothing since then.

If it's new call the company. They sent me a refubished unit (and a dock for my trouble). They said the changing circuit was faulty.
