Poor Reception on a Uk Version Motorola V3x in the US

When I got the phone new, reception was very good. I now experience multiple dropped calls unless i'm standing in just the right place. Garbled voice talking and listening both during most calls.

Also, this is a UK (European) software version where spelling of menu items are a bit strange. "Personalise" and the like. Is there a way to load the US version of the software for this phone?

Many Thanks,
San Diego, CA

Yes they is you can take it to amobile service center and have them reflash the US Verison but you should go to network settings and change the auto to manual search for the band this should give you a better lock on the network and fewer drop calls.

Tracfone gets poor reception

i have the same problem which only occurs when i get off the elevator to my apartment. someties the bars come back but often they don't. so now before i get in the elevator i call voicemail and don't end the call until i'm in my apartment. the call doesn't get dropped and when i end the call, the bars remain.

No reception in our house

the reception quality around your house has dropped, probably because of new high rise buildings in the area or trees interfering with the reception. Best option buy a network booster to improve your reception quality.

IPhone 3g Connection Problems

AT&T doesn't have good 3G service. Often you may find that you do not have 3G reception, and the phone switches to EDGE. This is not a problem with the iPhone. I live in a metropolitan area, so I do not experience problems, since 3G coverage is good. However, when i travel around, often i go to EDGE as well. Like i said this is a problem with the network and not your phone.

Poor reception in our area...a lot of drop other cell phone had excellent reception...few drop calls. Is there hope for my 3 week old Razor V3GSM? Perhaps, an downloadable upgrade for better...

You do have some hope left, there are special routers that you can buy to create a small cell zone that goes through your internet connection. They are pretty expensive.      is where you can find one.
