Re: Wiring back

I'll assume you replaced the Misc power board in the back on the bottom mounted horiz that has the resistors that always burn up
The connectors are all different except the power coming in...the one you can mix up can be designated by the fact they are 3 pin..
Green blue brown goes to the back right corner to the power input coming from behind the devider on the right.
The rest will line up
Good luck

It can be soldered depending on where the break is. if not, it is best to replace the whole speaker.

I have a Daewoo DTQ-14P1FC TV. It has been a reliable set for a long time. It recently has developed a condition where a thick white line appears horizontally when turned on. Once warmed up it is OK. Is...

I would say no it is not worth fixing. Use it till it burns out then dont bother with it. Im trying to find the service manual or the schematic diagram but all links turn up negative. But the parts to fix it if you knew how to solder circuit boards would be about 20-30 dollars including shipping. But i couldn't say for sure what it was without looking at the diagram. Im sure this isnt what you want to hear but i would once it doesnt work at all just buy a new one or a used tv off your local craigslist. Thanks, Midwest-tek

My 32 inch RCA tv keeps turning on/off by itself

Before you go to the top of the problem pile and work your way down, start at the bottom (with the simplest explanation in mind) and go up.

The battery suggestion was a simple but good one for starters.

Also, do you have cable? Call your cable provider and ask them to check your connections. It could be a cable issue. My t.v. once did the same thing yours is doing and it turned out to be something easily correctable - and it had nothing to do with the t.v. at all (it was the cable wiring that was the problem).

If you have a dish or some other physical device bringing channels into your t.v. check to make sure it is in good shape.

Now move up to the more involved suggestions like circuit boards, microprocessors, etc. For your sake, I hope it's one of the "easy" things.

I'd check the power supply or the fan. the tv will shut itself off if it gets too hot or doesn't register the fan as working, not to mention need full juice to run.

My Panasonic 27" Omnivision TV set (PV_C2542) flickers intermittently until I jiggle the cable conection into a new position. Sometimes the TV image goes off entirely and appears as a blue screen....

your tv set need parts Resoldering.
intermittent color changing is cause by cold solder joints.
have it serviced by a reliable electronic repair center or person.
you should not be charge a lot.

if you wish to fix it yourself,
you need a Soldering Iron (about 60watts) and soldering Lead (60/40).
air blower (for fast Cleaning) or
[1inch paint brush (for cleaning)]
unplug and place your set to your work bench then open the back cover.
(since you say its old, expect lots of dirt/dust inside your set, use the blower for easy cleaning).
if you have completely access of the solder side of the circuit, just resolder the joints. BE CAREFUL... DO NOT CONNECT SEPARATE JOINTS.

if you don't have experience with electronics i advise you have it to a repair person.

hope this helps you!

Static after moving 13GP300 from one cable connection to another

try checking that the coaxial cable is inserted all the way. or it could be the wiring behind the walls on that side of the house is interfereing with the reception. or is there something else plugged in the same out let that wasn't plugged in in the opposing location? that could be causing issues as well. but first check the coaxial cable going into the back of your tv or cable box.

All TV's in house failing, a few at a time

Hey PNorris,

If multiple electronic devices are failing in your home all at once, I would probably first have to ask if your home recently experienced an electrical storm or major power surge of any kind.

Normally the effects of such large-scale surges are immediately noticeable - TV's and other major electronic devices may fail to turn on, fuses may be blown or circuit breakers tripped, and in some cases electrical wiring may be melted.

If nothing like this has happened recently, low-level power surges may still be a potential cause of this problem. When the motor from any large appliance (such as an air conditioner or refrigerator) turns on or off, it often diverts power to and from other electronic devices using the same circuits. This fluctuation in electrical current may result in low-level power surges to every connected device. While not immediately noticeable, these low-level surges can often cause the eventual failure of (and gradually degrading quality in) many audio/video components.

Typically, the easiest way to avoid situations like this is to make sure that outlets are not overloaded and surge protectors are used with every major electrical device in your home. For older homes however, replacing the house's wiring may be necessary. Homes that were originally built at the turn of the 20th century may not always have wiring capable of supporting the electrical needs of many modern appliances.

Ultimately, this means that in addition to contacting your local TV repair facility, you may want to also speak with an electrician. This is probably the best way to determine whether or not power surges have caused these failures, and may give you a better idea how to proceed.

Hope this helps you out.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking me to explain. If you are asking why it has to be locked or "frozen" in the DVD mode it is because that is the easiest way to effect the fix, ie, by wiring the new connection to the cable that comes from the DVD player into the motherboard. If your set is already "frozen" in the DVD mode then you are ready to start the fix. If you need to get it in the DVD mode just stick a DVD in the player and the set will go into the DVD mode. If this is not what you wanted clarification on then please be more specific as to what you are puzzled by.

The connector on the back on my TV has come off.

It depense on if the connector is part of the tuner or a ant block. it its an antenna block it will be a small block shaped device that has a wire running to a silver rectangle and that would be the tuner. You could get one from a parts distribitor that handles sharp parts and shouldnt be too hard to replace but you must know its always better to take the set to a repair person if you have no electronic background!!!!! If you see where the connector came off of and its a skinny rectangle then its part of the tuner and a repair shop may be able to solder another terminal in place or even a connector wire. Good Luck
