You could run the chkdsk disk utility Click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your Hard Drive. or an easier way to run the chkdsk utility Windows 7 chkdsk Click start control panel administrative tools computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart have no input while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may further damage your computers Operating System and Hard Drive JetClean tidies your registry, gets rid of junk files, deletes broken shortcuts, and attempts to give your computer that like-new feel again. How to check a hard drive for errors in Windows

Windows comes with many diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tools that can help you get the most life and best performance out of your computer. One of these tools is the hard drive error-checking utility.<br /> <br /> Over time, your hard drive can develop problems, both with the physical disk itself as well as with corrupted areas of the file system. Running the error-checking utility can sometimes fix these problems, and if it can't fix them, it can at least identify and isolate them. It's a good idea to run error-checking once in a while to optimize your hard drive.<br /> <br /> To run Windows error-checking, follow the steps below.<br /> <br /> 1. Click on the Start button (in Vista, click on the Vista orb) to bring up the Start menu.<br /> <br /> 2. Select My Computer (in Vista, select Computer).<br /> <br /> 3. Right click on the hard drive you want to scan for errors and select <br /> Properties.<br /> <br /> 4. In the Disk Properties window, click on the Tools tab.<br /> <br /> 5. Under the "Error-checking" heading, click "Check Now...."<br /> <br /> In the Check Disk window that appears, there are two options. You can run error-checking with neither, one, or both of those options selected, depending on how intensive a scan you want to run (and how long you have to wait). If you check the first option (<i>Automatically fix file system errors</i>) and click Start, you'll be prompted to restart your computer in order for the utility to able to run; you can either restart now or restart later, and when the computer boots back up, the check disk program will run.<br /> <br /> The second option (<i>Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors</i>) can be run immediately, but it can take a lot of time to finish. The bad sector check has four phases, and you'll see a status bar to let you know how far along the check is. Only select this option if you don't need your computer for a while. If you are using a laptop, connect to an external power source before clicking Start to begin the scan.

When I try to send and recieve e-mails it says an error hs occured

Please check your anti-virus. Some anti-virus see e-mails with attachements as virus. If that doesnt work try sending the e-mail using another browser.
I hope this solution has been helpful.

My wii nintendo channel keep coming up as error code 261412 every time i load it. This code comes up after you send the info

Error codes within that range usually refer to a communication problem with Nintendo's network. :1: Make sure your Wii has an internet connection, you can test this using the shopping channel, internet channel or by sending a Wii-mail to a freand. ::2: Go in to the setting panel and run a firmware (system) update to ensure you have the latest firmware. :::3: Try again at a less busy time of day, 15:00 on a week day is usually quiet. If you still have problems after a firmware (system) update message back. Nick. :)

Windows Mail

Hi, this fix was on a website I found & may help..

This problem happens because your version of Outlook Express is set up to use Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which your ISP does not use.
To fix this problem, open Outlook Express, and click:
- Tools
- Accounts
- Then click on your connection and click Properties
- Then click Advanced
- On this screen remove the checks from the boxes This server requires a secure connection for both Outgoing mail (SMTP) and Incoming mail (POP3).
You may have to play with the settings a bit to suit your setup.
