Question about Canon PowerShot S400 / IXUS 400 Digital Camera
Recently saved photos on CD and the shop asked if I wanted the images deleted from the camera and I said yes. Since then I have nothing, no menu, the camera turns on but no display of anything. An E18 or E1B message comes up on the screen.
The E18 error is fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.
