Question about Mitsubishi WS-65513 65" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Not same modle but same problem.

I went to turn on the t.v. and the green timer light just keeps blinking. I have left it unplugged most of yesterday, and all night, still nothing. The reset button doesn't seem to help either.

I have a wd52525 the status light keeps blinking

There are 3 different LEDs on the front of this televison. The TIMER will blink green. The STATUS will blink orange and the LAMP will flash red or orange depending on if there is a failure or if the lamp timer is showing over 5000 hours.

If I answer your question directly and the status is blinking a steady orange light, then you have left the side filter cover or the front lamp cover off or they are loose.

Also holding the menu and device buttons together until the timer light blinks will reveal a code that will help in diagnosing your problem. Goodluck.

Blinking green light on Mitsubishi will not turn off

The capacitors on the DM board need replacement, thats a common problem it will work fine but if power is loss even for a minute the capacitor drain, then they cant recharge since they need replacement so the set will just keep blinking the timer light. Installing the V26 DM repair kit from will usually repair that. The kit contains the Replacement caps and the CD with detailed instructions.

Blinking green timer light on front nearpower button keeps blinking, tv will not turn on, unplugged for 24 hours and tried again, also hit system reset and still nothing.

Thats a common problem when the caps on the DM need replacement. They will function fine untill power is interupted then the set will not complete the boot sequence when power is reapplied and the led will just continue to blink. Hers a link to the kit that will usually repair that issue the kit comes with instructions.

Blinking timer light will not turn off.

You most likely have a fault in the defelection circuitry that is causing this. A repair is needed, none-the-less....accordianman

There is a tiny reset button to the left of the timer light. Press with a pin or something small, wait 60 seconds. Viola!

Tv will not turn on but it constantly blinks and will not stop

You need to change the seven capacitors on the DM power supply board (inside the metal case on the left where your DTV tuner connects)They are 1000 MFD 16 VOLT capacitors and the tops are probably bulging outward because they are leaky- this is a common problem. When you lost power, the TV had to reboot itself but because of the leaky caps it never will and the green light keeps blinking. As long as you never lost power or unplugged the set the TV would of still worked.Once you change the parts and plug the set in the light will blink normaly for about a minute and when it stops blinking you can then turn on the TV.

I can't turn on the TV.

I had the same problem. Unplugged it, reset it, everything. I went to work the next morning and left the light blinking, came home from work and it was off. I turned it on and so far, so good. Just give it some time to reset internally
