Question about RCA D52W19 52" Rear Projection Television

TV flickers and clicks for 15 minutes after powerup,

The problem with the TV is that in Video 1 and 2 inputs the TV flickers rapidly with a clicking sound. When I power the TV on it flickers for 15 minutes or so, them calms down. However it will flicker again on certain channels etc. It seems if there is a blast of white on a channel this sends the TV into flicker, while watching movies etc an “explosion sequence” is a trigger for sure….. also if I power off the “Cable box” then cycle through the Inputs on the TV to get back to the Video 1 source, then power the “cable” back on it sometimes gets the picture back to normal, but not always.

How do i broadcast my computer onto my tv i hooked up the s-video cable and its not morking

First off ensure it is a good quality cable as many cheap cables are not worth the material they are made from.

Second you will have to make sure you tv is set to the correct input eg video 1, input 1, etc.

Third you need to call up the display properties for your graphics card on the computer

You can right click on an empty area of your desktop and if there is an option for Nvidia or radeon you should use that. If not click on properties. setting, advanced, you should then see a tab for your graphics card, select this. Options may vary a little from here on but you are looking for an advanced control panel just for your graphics card and it is in this area that you can select additional displays and their properties. Usually it is best to select "clone" until you have established a picture. after that you can select expand or other options, Clone is usually best.

If your graphics card has a digital output then a lead from that to your TV if it too has hdmi etc is a better option than S-video, Some TV's also have a VGA input this too is better than S-VIDEO.

DLP TV starts to loose picture after 1 - 1/2 hours of use

This tv has a 3 board video path. Analog main pcb --->Digital main pcb --->DMD pcb. see which inputs have the problem to narrow it down. if only some inputs, suspect analog board. if everything flickers(all inputs and menu), suspect the dmd or engine. you can see the lamp shine out the back. if the lamp is flickering, suspect lamp or ballast.

TV rapid power cycles

Could be power supply related or the hyper board, Toshiba p/n# 23148017... Cycling on/off is the TV's protection circuit going into shutdown to keep from causing real damage. Get it to a shop and have them estimate it.

40H80 Problem TV will not switch to non antenna inputs

Sounds like you have a bad tuner. It is not uncommon for solder joints to deteriorate over a period of time and loose continuity. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can try to fix it yourself but I really recommend leaving it to a professional.
