Question about Sony KDF42E2000 42" HDTV
My 1-yr plus old lcd projection tv just suddenly started cycling off and on. The screen goes blank (green led remains on), then the power indicator LED flashes for 39 times for 39 seconds before the display comes back on. The cycle repeats 40-45 seconds later. The lamp cooling fan is running all the while this happens.
I've read someone post a similar problem (same tv) on another forum and they said it was the "block circuit board" and that it cost them some $1,000. Is there a cheaper alternative to this? If I could do the parts replacement myself I'd rather avoid the labor costs.
The best thing to first is to replace lamp ..lamp will also cause this..this will be the cheapest route to go first..Please let me kno and I will give you more info or docs from Sony...
