Question about Mitsubishi WD-62327 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
HELP..........Have a Mitsubishi 62" DLP model# WD 62327 bought in late 05' early 06'. Has about 18 months of use. In October tried went to turn on the TV and nothing but a green blinking status light which then changes to a yellow lamp light then turns red. Order a new lamp, replaced and no go! Did some research on the net in regards to DLP';s and there potential problems. Here is the kicker "I DIDN'T BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY". Had a tech come out and he stated it was the ballast... he order one and replaced it, still nothing. He took my TV to his shop and three days later he tells me it is the light engine. Cost to replace $1,100 and some change.....I'm like yeah right.....I can buy a nice LCD for that price. I then decide to search the net and find a light engine and replace it myself as I am pretty handy......Bought one for $360.00....Came in three days ago and replaced it last night. Guess What? Still nothing!
By pressing the INPUT button and MENU button at the same time I receive green light status code of 3blinks then 4blinks.......which is lamp abnormality! I NEED HELP here on what could really be the potential problem......!
Sounds like you have been catching it with this set! Sorry about the problems, hope this helps!
You need to check a few things like K9A20 and K9A21 these maybe shorted. Also check R9A02 it maybe open. This will cause the problems you are having. Also for more info www.ctechnicians.com

I recently repaired a Mitsubishi DLP for a similar symptom. Found C9a37 and C9a38 in the power supply to be defective. They feed the light engine driver. The power supply module is located all the way up front on the left side of the chassis looking from the rear. The module is also shielded so you will have to remove the shields to locate the capacitors. The value of the caps are 3300mf/25v. Good luck
