Re: screen wont move
Hi I also am a technician in Michigan who has serviced many Pioneer AVH Models. LCD Open Close Chassis is most Likely Bent. Usually the Best Fix is to replace LCD Chassis assy. My charges on this Repair is Usually $160 including return shipping. Unless Gears are Just damaged then it would be less. The AVH-P5700 have Upgaded Gears compared to the older AVH-P6500 that are all Metal and If they are Damaged Chassis is usually also bent up. Any Questions Kstahl65@att.net

In order to calibrate the AVH-P5700DVD you need to press and hold the
Boost and the + button and then press the reset button with a pen.
continue to hold the Boost and + until the screen opens back up and you
can see the calibration screen. use the arrow nob on the right to
select the menu item, and the A button to select your item.

i have the same problem with my unit. there is a way to reset the screen so it starts to come out again as i have done it 3 times before. i forgot the exact method but it involves the "rear" "band" and "reset" buttons. i found this out through calling pioneer canada tech support and i will call them again on monday when they open.
have the avh 5700 should be close to the same unit. try holding the two center buttons on deck [boost and arrow button] i think then without releasing them push the reset button with a pen ,the screen will close then reopen now let go of buttons should be in the right menu on the first item dont trace the extreme edge come in a little then the second item on the menu screen is the touch section just touch the little plus button on screen if still off try tracing first screen little further from edge. this should fix problem
