If it is new it should be under warranty,if not ,yes there may be a fuse inside,on the board where the plug is connected, taking it apart will void the warranty and can be dangerous .dont try this unless you have experience

Power flickered during thunderstorm, TV wont come back on. heard little pop from tv when lights flickered.

Unplug it and take the back off. Look too see if the fuse right next to the power cord is black. Replace it. If it pops again, you have damaged the board and need a repair guy. Look for any burnt parts before replacing the fuse.

It's my mothers and she had a power surge during a thunderstorm in Tulsa, ok. The power in the whole house flickered off then on again. the TV was on...went off with everything else (no surge...

I have seen a few cases when all that is necessary to repair would be to replace the power fuse. In worst cases transistors and resistors will be blown. You will have to find a TV tech to inspect the power supply. Give me a few hands and thanks for asking!

No signal...deep sleep

Go to main menu, turn off sleep mode, then find the "autoprogram" feature and select it.
THis will program all available channels, just make sure you tv is set to AIR for regular tv and CATV if you have cable.

The thunderstorm may have reset the television. Hopefully there is no damage done to the tuner

Phillips hts3410d no sound VERY dim led

Have you had any thunderstorms recently in your area? if so, this could be a pulse sent threw your system form an electrical storm. this happens often during dangerous thunderstorm activity. Also, your electrical wiring in your home can produce this as well due to a faulty circuit breaker box or lose ceiling fan hook ups. the best scenario could be a defective product. this way, you can get a full refund or a replacement set up.

TV picture flickers

If your DVD player is separate from your tv, you might have a loose cable plug or connection. Depending on the type of flicker you have, a vertical circuit loose connection would cause this. If you could connect it to a cable or antenna it might tell you where the problem is located. A faulty circuit in the DVD might cause this too. Stargazer
