Won't record When I press the red "record" button, a window immediately pops up that says "Writing file!" and the machine freezes up.

    I pressed the red button ONCE after a recording and the recorder crashed/frozen up.  Most frustrating part is that there is no way to turn the thing off and have to look at the blue screen and wait for the battery to run out, taking a couple hours and more.

    My unit does the same thing but intermittently. I will be recording and it will just freeze. Or sometimes when I try to stop the recording it will freeze with a message that the media ran out of memory when I know that it hasn't. Sometimes it freezes when I try to stop a recording to write a file.

Sounds like you are pressing the red button twice. The first time starts recording and the second time closes and writes the file to the memory card. If you don't think you are pressing the button twice, you may have a bad unit. Make sure you have checked with M-Audio to get the latest software before you reject it as a bad unit.

My Computer Completely Freezes Everytime I Listen To Music

You can download a software called CCleaner. This helps clearing all the temporary files in the computer. Once all the temporary files are cleared the problem won't occur. If the problem persists, then listen to music in lighter players like VLC or Winamp.

Microphone is not detecting..in my laptop

Check connection - When you enter into a voice chat with friends, each participant should take turns trying to press and hold down the Press to Talk button. Everyone else should see their name turn red when they do that. If you see their names turn red, but don't hear anything, it may be a microphone / speaker problem, or it may be that we have more bugs that we need to fix. If you don't see their name turn red, you are probably having connection problems and that's why it's not working.
· Get the latest version - Please make sure that everyone who is using the voice chat feature has the latest version.
· Check mic and speakers - Check that your microphone works and that your speakers are turned on. Here's how:
* make sure the mic is plugged in correctly.
* adjust the mic properties.
- go to the control panel (start button -- settings -- control panel)
- click on the multimedia icon
- you should see a tab for audio
- make sure that the recording volume is set high.
* you can test your mic. by doing the following.
- Click the Windows Start button, then go to Programs, then Accessories, then Multimedia, then click on Sound Recorder
- A new window called Sound Recorder will pop up. Click on the record button (a red circle), then say
