Re: kenmore 80 series washing machine

There is a small tab or finger on the lid of your washer that pushes a button through a small opening on the washer as you close the lid. This is the spin safety shut off. It also will prevent the washer motor from starting "IF" the button is broken. It is plastic and will break over time due to vibration. With some experience you can remove housing to get access to the button. They can be purchased at local appliance repair shop. The job is easier than you think, and you can save the labor charges. That happened to me and I thought my washer was done.

Where is the reset button for a kenmore 80 washer wont stop filling water level

If this is a top loader then the vacuum line has come off of the dashpot or the water level switch is broken. UNPLUG the power-Standing in front of the washer, pry off the plastic trim strips on the left and right of the dash (control panel) Now you'll see a screw at the bottom where the strips mounted, remove ans KEEP the screws, now the dash will lift up and fold back, giving access to the parts.

My kenmore 80 series washing machine makes a horrible noise and cold side fills about half speed when filling with water. What should I check?

For the slow water issue, you will need to replace the water inlet valve. Here is a link to the part.
Could you describe the noise and where it is coming from?

Kenmore 80 series washing machine fills but wont agitate draqins but wont agitste or spin

My bet is on the drive coupler. if you can here the motor run and the machine will drain water then 99.9% it will be the drive coupler.

This coupler is behind the motor and is what conects the motor with the transmission.
