The only way to get them out is to remove the unit from the car and disassemble it. if you replace the unit it will go to an exchange company and if you request it they will send your cd's back.

Error 1 - "disc is dirty, damaged, or is inserted upside down"
I quote other solution comments:
I've been getting the Err 1 and Err 3 for a while now, my headunit needs replacing but I haven't had chance yet...
I've found that the cold weather makes it worse as the CDs get that cold
they are covered in condensation so the CD has trouble reading them..
In my experience when you get an Err 3 it's basically knacked and needs
replacing and Err 1's can sometimes be read problems - what's the disk
like?
Mine has started giving Err 1's on brand new CD's (not CDRs) so she's probably having trouble focussing....
If the car is less than 5 years old the headunit should be covered under warranty (ie free).
It is a internal CD Changer Problem, there is no way to get them out unless you dissassemble the Changer. Your best bet is to remove the Changer and take it into a Car Audio Repair Shop and have them take a look at it.
the cd unit will need replaced. check with your lexus dealer this item may still be under warranty. cd units are not repaired at dealerships, they are exchanged for new or refurbushed units. if you have to pay for it make sure you ask for the difference in price between new and refurbed. refurbs work great.
I have seen this often..assuming there isn't a CD jambed in it....usually means you have to send it out for repair...its most of the time an internal problem.....you can try first is disconnect the plug at the back and reinstall them and turn it back on...If it still shows ERROR....replace the radio... If its a stuck CD...FORD radios DO NOT LIKE homemade CDs, they are to thick, and labels hang it up...If this is the problem use a "needle nose pliers" and extract it the best you can AND DON'T USE COPIED CD's....hope this helps you..GL
As the consumer there is nothing U can do to fix this problem, the error code is for a radio technician with the right technical publications and tools to fix the problem, you will have to pull the radio/CD player and send it out for repair with an authorized Lexus sound system repair station.
lol had this prob so many times, you will find that you have moisture in the cd exchanger and the way i found this out was on removing my cds first thing in the morning a noticed very slight misting on most of the cds. .i put the wifes hair dryer and blasted warm air into it for a good 15 minutes waited till it cooled down cleaaned carefully my cds replaced and away i went. hasten to add that this was temporary a few days later i got the odd cd not playing . i notice the prob more in cold weather and if the car has not been used for a few days. the boot maybe damp .. good luck .stu
ritate the first 3 disc and try them in lot 4 5 6 it is not worth the trouble to repair the magazine could be bad but they sell pretty cheap used easy exchanged
