Question about Canon PowerShot A570 IS Digital Camera
I bought a Canon digital camera. My Laptop with windows Vista does not want to recognise the camera. I checked and the cable works - it connects to my desktop computer. Is it a driver problem?
Canon just posted a new (6/5/08) browser update at: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=320&modelid=14905#DownloadDetailAct. Just enter your Operating System and it will list all applicable Drivers and Downloads. Hope it helps.

Most likely it is a driver problem. There is a lot of problems between vista and older cameras. Unfortunately that is up to either Microsoft (there is a new Service Pack coming out, that might take care of a lot of things) or Canon to fix the camera.
Check Canon's website and see if there is a download or firmware upgrade.
