My Maytag mtw5740tq0 is leaking from the bottom front after running a heavier load. What is the reason, and is this something that I can fix myself?

- Gasket looks fine, after draining it I did a test run. It leaks the moment it begins to fill regardless if there is anything in it. :(Best Solution

check your gasket ... gray rubber around the door ... if there is a tear or hole.. it will need to be replaced

This is a top loading machine according to the model number correct?
You can pop open the control panel with a putty knife placed at each corner between the bottom front of the panel and the top itself to release the spring clips it hinges up and back,then you will see two clips holding the back metal panel to the cabinet,use a flat screw driver to release those open the lid and grab the cabinet,tip it toward you and off the base,then start to fill the machine keeping the back panel pulled forward and start looking for where the water is coming from.here is a copy and paste link to a video to help you remove the cabinet but your doesn't have screws in the back of the control panel.
