GE fridge PDS22MBSWW - relay clicks on and off

I've got a GE refridgerator model PDS22MBSWW (without icemaker).
It started acting up today - the relay clicks on and off every one or two seconds; the LED displays for the fridge section and the freezer section go black; it's not cooling the fridge4 section or freezer section. What's wrong?

Sounds like a main control...check the fans ... unplug each on at a time to check if the relay will stop clicking...

Ge tfx25jrbb-ww refridgerator not cooling

The first thing to check is if you can hear the fan running inside the freezer. This not only keeps the whole freezer cold it alspo circulates air down to the refrigerator keeping it cool as well.

It does a lot of clicking (trying to start over and over again)
If thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay

Refridgerator makes a clicking noise like a set of contacts trying to open and close. what might that be.

If the fridge is not working properly it's probably the starter relay trying to start the compressor. It's a small electrical part on or near the compressor around at the back behind the cardboard cover. It's cheap and you can replace it yourself. If it's not the problem but it can't start the compressor then you need a tech to look at the compressor.

If the unit is cooling the noise could be from the electronic control which could be on the back in some models and in fridge with the controls in others. A noise from the control usually means it's going bad.

Here we go, I have a GE side by side about 6 years old... Started with the icemaker not dispensing ice consistently... then the ice stopped all together (even though the bin was full and not froze solid)....

The clicking you are hearing is the relay unit. Now it is for sure that the compressor is not working as the relay keep s tripping off.
So first of all to clear this doubt, let us checck the relay unit which is clicking. remove and check. most of the time the relays need to be replaced as a poor contact will not deliver good voltage to the compressor and it will shut off. So check this out.
One the compressor works and you notice there is cooling the sytem seems ok except that you must check if the thermostat, the auto defrost cut off timer works.
If after the compressor works the cooling is not good then you can decide on a replacement than to spend for expensive repairs

Water runs out of G.E. icemaker where water first goes to icemaker

The only reason for the loops is so that you can move the refrigerator out. The loops act like an accordion allowing the unit to move in and out without kinking the line.
You probably have some ice frozen in the icemaker where the water comes in. If this is the case, remove the icemaker and thaw it out and try again.
You need to make sure there is enough water getting to the fridge. Inadequate water fill can cause this to happen. I am curious as to why you changed the water line. Was it leaking or some other problem?
Make sure the water line is not kinking behind the fridge when you have it pushed into place.
If you need more help, please post the complete model number so I can look it up and I will see what I can do.
