Keeps going back to 2H

Hi we had the keyboard panel replaced 1 month ago. When I turned it on this morning it keeps going to the 2 hour delay cycle but it sounds like it is running and the minutes are moving down but nothing is cleaning inside the dishwasher

Frigidaire FDB520RHB Dishwashers : We bought this dishwasher about 3 months ago. Today I ran the washer before I left to do errands and when I returned, I believe the washer had finished its cycle. But...

Try to run the dishwasher on a short cycle like rinse and see if it finishes the cycle.

It is likely the heater or hot water temperature is not reaching the desired level and this could cause the extended wash cycle. Feel water temperature inside dishwasher after some time. If cold then it is the heater not working. Perhaps try without Heat Dry Cycle. That will also extend the cycle if heater is not working well.

see cycle diagrams in the page 2 of this sheet. Gives you and idea how Heater Delay affects cycle times.

Dishwasher ran all night still not finished. Error code 4H displaying.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. The 4H is indicating your dishwasher is in the delayed wash start mode. Here is some information from Sears about what to do:

  • The number letter combination indicates that the dishwasher is in a "Delay Start" mode, as well as how many hours were set for the delay start.
  • The dishwasher will not start the wash until it reaches the delayed hour that it was set for. Example: 1H = 1 hour delay start, 2H = 2 hour delay start, etc.
    • To start the dishwasher immediately and not wait for the Delay Start time, cancel the "Delay Start" option, by pressing the Cancel button. Then program the cycle and options and press Start.
    • To start the dishwasher after the Delay time, select the cycle and options desired. Select the "Delay Start" option and on some dishwashers it requires, pressing the Start button.
    • Some dishwashers will display a countdown of the delay time on the display.
Note: Refer to the Owner's Manual or Use & Care Guide for specific instructions on using the "Delay Start" feature.

If you need more assistance we will need your exact model number in any of your future responses.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Stays on 2H when turning on

Hi welcome to Fixya. You're right what you're describing is not delay start, but rather a problem with one of the heating component's and most likely the heater relay on the electronic control. The wash cycle has exceeded two hours without a temperature increase of the water and therefore the control "thinks" something is wrong. Whether there is or isn't remains to be seen. Likely if you let the unit operate from that point of displaying "2H" it will run and run for several hours and not heat the water. You can confirm this by pulling out the control and visually inspecting the printed circuit side of the control. Look for a burnt solder on the opposite side of the largest relay ( black or orange retangular box ). That will confirm the heater relay is faulty and the control either needs to be replaced or repaired if you are capable of resoldering the board. Let me know what you find and I'll try and assist you further if you require any. Thanks for visiting "fixya" today and good luck moving forward. macmarkus :)

Can not reset the ''delay cycle'' timer

I would call that service company back and ask for your money back first of all if he didn't fix the problem. That code probably means a failed circuit board.

Error code 2H

The control panel needs to be replaced (indicated by the "2H" error code displayed at the start of the cycle).
BTW - The number 1 displayed at the end of the cycle indicates the cycle has timed out (i.e., it doesn't mean 1 minute remaining). Hence the continued running of the unit. Until you replace the control panel, you'll have to manually cancel the cycle at this point.

Problem with Bosch built-in Dishwasher Model SHU6806UC

I had the same problem and just today replaced the control board module. Purchased the control module online and installed in myself. Was not that difficult. undo the screws (torx screw driver needed) unhook the connections to the board and label all. Pull the board out and open, found burned connectors. Now works like a dream.

Prolonged washer cycle time

Hi! I'm not familiar with this model, but it sounds to me like there is not a problem! If you set the delay time to 0H, switch off the unit at the main switch, then switch back on. If there is still a 2H displayed, it means that the PROGRAM that you have selected will take 2hours! This is fairly common for the Bosch units on the 50 - 65degC cycles...some models have a "reduced washing time" button - it looks similar to the "delay" symbol, but once pressed, it reduces the washing time by almost half (cuts on rinse cycles) If your model does not have a reduced time button, select a shorter cycle (35/40/50eco), and see if the time is less. Remember that the latest dishwashers are engineered to be more energy efficient and water wise, so they had to lengthen the wash cycles in order to get good wash results! Hope this helps! C.
