The flash on my Kodak M753 camera quit. The settings are correct it just broke. Is there a service manual available for this? I am an electronic engineer and am comfortable digging in myself.
This is a 7mpxl camera, and the possibility of a warranty may be worth searching out. The service manual will not help in this case, in my opinion.... Changing the flash assembly would consist of nearly completely dismantling the camera. This may not be kind of job you may be up to. There is nothing as a rule which can be fixed in the flash assy. Since you have had experience in electronics, I suggest that you search on the Internet for this make and model. You may have to pay for a service manual. Some are not very expensive and may be under $20.00. You may find a source which will have many, including your model, on a dvd or cd.
This may help as well... go to your menus and be sure that all the settings are set to default or reset everything, then test to make sure it is indeed broken and not working at all.

When i try to use the auto focus in AE live using a tamrom 10-24mm lens, the camaera does not show a red box if it cannot find a focus point, it just locks up, and you have to exit live mode and start again. Any suggestions?
