No Play
We have had this DVD Player for 7 years and it suddenly won't play any DVD's, even ones that it played before. It just says "No Play". Do you have any suggestions?

Clean the player lens with a cleaner that is available at most stores like Wal-Mart or Circuit City. It is a disk with small brushes on the bottom of a disk that clean the lens. They need to be cleaned every once in a while.

It will not load a DVD. It says either "No Disc" or "Unknown Disc".

My kenwood stopped playing DVD's. It only says "No Play". Who knows the answer?

I have a JSI 5010 that I have had for over a year. All of the sudden it won't play DVDs or CDs. The TV screen sometimes goes to gray and when it does work it only works for about 5-10 minutes and starts skipping or pausing. I have tried cleaners to no avail please help.

We are having the same problem with the player stuck in "reading" mode. I tried unpugging which didn't work. I cleaned it three times with a JVC cleaner, and it played some DVD's and not others for a couple of plays, and then stopped again. The diagnostics show audio and visual are perfect, just can't read DVD's.

i also get cant play even after repeatedly cleaning with phillips lens cleaner. it just says reading and then tries again and then says cant play
