Where is my product key ?

Recently,i bought sony vaio laptop and ms office was working for sometime, but then, it stopped working asking for the product key which i had no idea of . what is my product key no, where am i supposed to find it?

It's the row of numbers and letters that under the bar code or it's on the cd that came with the software also if you still cant find it go online to there web site and enter the software you buy and the serial number and all info they ask for cuz i know that on some of the software has to be rejestered before it will unlock everthing hope this helps

I'll presume your question is to me asking how often Belarc will "check for new advisor security definitions".

A: It will check for a later def's file each and every time it is launched. If it discovers one, it will download and incorporate it prior to checking your system.

Don't you just hate it when that happens! But don't worry … relax, take a deep breath … then let's GEEK-steer you towards some well deserved joy :-)

You have three possible solutions:

  1. You should be able to locate it on your installation disk/sleeve.
  2. If you've lost your disk/sleeve, you can contact Microsoft support services [800-MICROSOFT (642-7676)] for resolution.
  3. However, if it's currently installed, there are many software utilities that can present the key code to you. I recommend "Belarc Advisor". Download and install, then after it produces its report, it will display in your default web-browser. You'll find your key in the "Software Licenses" section.
