You should try to gradually disable hardware acceleration from your graphic card.

I searched for weeks, tried vidio driver updates, computer settings, and a bunch of other things. Then I ran across a blog that suggested going back to basics. Like most people, I did not think I had a heat problem, but despite what I believed, I took the case apart and put a small window fan next to the computer. That was the problem. It was the first thing I should have tried. Could have saved a lot of time with a simple test.

My Problem is that when I run performance rating in windows 7 it freezes somewhere in "D3D9 Batch Assessment" and I think the problem is the Graphics Card, because when I try to remove it, it can...

Heat could be the factor that is troubling your graphics card or it could be old/bad drivers.

What you want to do is to clean your computer system of all dust. Clean the fans and the heatsinks to ensure greater airflow through the system.

Then see my guide for installing the latest video drivers for your graphics card. It is entitled How to install Graphics Drivers, Nvidia and AMD Radeon!!! Also scan your computer's hard drive for viruses and mal-ware.

Take care!

Hello...

You can restore your PC to the earlier time when your PC worked fine... i e , before installing your new drivers...

Type SYSTEM RESTORE in the search and click on it... Proceed through it and it will show many restore points... Select the one when your PC worked fine... And click restore... Your PC will go back to earlier settings...

My radeon is heating up very fast and my PC freezes after that ive have a improvized cooling sistem....but it aint keeping up and the PC still freezes...and i dont force the video...i just want to play...

Simple solution: take the cover off the case and use a small desk fan to blow on the components.

Also, try rearranging the components and cables within the case to help with the airflow inside your case.

There are also coolers that fit into the PCI slot, which should be near your video card. These can help with the temps.

Game crashes

Has it just started doing it?

if so have you changed/installed anything?

Check the actual card to make sure the fan is still spinning on it

other than that check the caps on the card make sure they are not blown...

Let me know...

Screen going blank for a second or two while video freezes then jumps.

If you have on board graphics try removing video card and reboot when computer rebooted turn it of and refit card and restart when restarted computer should recognize new hard ware and should find the already installed drivers if not try installing drivers again
Sometimes windows does not recognize new hardware until its refitted
had this problem with modems alot and the above method solved it
