Question about Intel Motherboard

Hooking up the wires correctly??

Howdy. I've recently replaced my MSI, MS7207 Ver: 2.0, K8NGM2L Motherboard with an MSI refurb. of the exact same specs. Everything went well on the install but for the power button "light" and the gettin' busy light ( the little light that flashes rapidly on the outer front of the tower when the computer is loading something??) do not work now. Everything else seems to work as required. Me being the brain surgeon I am, I didn't really pay all that much attention as to where I un-hooked the wires when I pulled out the old/fried motherboard out, being frustrated with the 13 month life of the factory motherboard and what not.
Getting to the point of my request, I'm in need of a "wiring diagram" for this motherboard?
Happy Holidays and thanks so much for just any help.

What in God's name are you talking about? Just need a wiring diagram? For the previously mentioned motherboard/computer?

The MOBO does not come with any documentation.

I am a tech snob and often complain about the included manual but in this case I mean there was no manual included. My bro also forgot to look at the wire hookups for the power switch and the HDD light. Minor complication since they are definitely hooked up to the FP1 connector.

I can't find a diagram yet and just thought I would add some moral support to anyone with the same problem.

Update -- While I was writing this my brother stumbled onto the correct hook up for the power switch. You only need that to make it work.

I found the diagram for this MB at eMachine Upgraders Forum. If you scroll down past the updates there is a down-loadable manual. I got there by doing a Google search for ( motherboards ms-7207 ver:2.0 wiring diagram). Hope this helps.

I need to know the sequence on how to connect my Power LED, Reset Switch, HDD LED, and M/B Switch up correctly. I have an MS-7142 VER:1 Can you help me?

Hi carlmtclem, your not alone when it comes to hooking up the right led connector to the MSI MB. Firstly, you need to know what wire color is positive & which is negative. Most commonly the color white is ground/negative. Wire colors do vary from case to case. So look at your case led wires. Which ever color is common for each 2-pin connector, is negative. (Except the speaker wire).
All other colors are positive.
(The speaker wire color for negative is usually black & red is positive).
Your MSI board has two separate sets of pins.
JFP2 is used for the speaker only. Do not connect the power led there.

Pin one for JFP1 is shown in the manual. Pin 1 is positive & pin 3 is negitive for the HDD-LED, ECT.

Thats it.
Need more information?
Post here.
Good luck carlmtclem!
Thank you for using fixya.
