If your using HDMI, pull it from the receiver and run directly to the TV, then run optical or digital coaxial to your receiver. It's referred to in the industry as a "Handshake" issue. It has to do with firmware and hardware of your receiver and continuous ridiculous updates from the recording industry to protect copyright. Hope this helps. If you still have issues, post a comment and I will help you troubleshoot further.

Had the AVR 3806 for about 2 years , flawless operation, Then The optical outputs failed.. took it in to a official repair shop, & was told circuit was loose & worked fine for 2 months... Then Unit became unresponsive with regards to proper function... Took it in again. was told microprocessor needed to be fixed... Got it back & it's worked for another few months, now it's unresponsive & optical inputs don't work again... Anyone , any thoughts on this ? Always been a big Denon Fan & buyer, but this has me miffed ....

I currently rn an Infocus projector through my Denon 3806 and weather its my Sony HDD dvd player or PS3 the picture output is green and grey, yet running direct from each source picture is fine, telling me projector and sources are ok. Is there an internal reset that could possibly rectify problem.
