hi ya,

thanks a lot. i cannot download motorola phone tools for free. i tried searching it but i didnt get it as a free download.
and its just strange that to get one mp3 download in my so called upgraded motorola phone i hv to download the phone tools worth $39.
also surprised that motorla L6 which is not as upgraded as this one, it can easily download mp3 ringtones

-   I'm having the same difficulty. I bought my son the phone, and the guy at the store said it wouldn't be an issue, and now its $40. for the program. my phone does it fine though. Can anyone help? -   Bellewok

I'm not sure that this is really a question, but yes, the Motorola Phone Tools software package is not free by legal means.

The V3 phone was not designed to be an mp3 player, unlike a lot of the later models. You can, however, easily put mp3s on the phone with the Motorola Phone Tools.
