Re: Support

Just set up my 2701. Had the same problem. Steps are as follows:
Go to start, run, enter "CMD" then (enter), on black screen type in "ipconfig" then (enter)
if you are connected to the modem you should see something like copy this down
next enter EXIT and (enter)

click on your IE explorer and when it opens, in the address line enter "http:\\, the number you copied. it should access the modems set up page. use the wizard icon on the right and set up the modem in it's default mode.

Re: Support

If you are looking for information on a network device, you can GOOGLE search the device for manuals and/or drivers. You can also go to Support of the Device Manufacture website. Both ways work equally well. BPCS

I bought an smc#7004abr the problem is i do not have the software to dowmload. Do you need one or not? I do have everything else.

I am not familiar with this particular make or model. You don't say what operating system you are using. Yes, it does make a difference. If you are using XP or newer and you recently purchased this device, you probably do not need a individual driver. If you are using a Microsoft product, I suggest you look on the site whose link I will provide, for the answer to your your quesition. Click on the hardware tab and search for your device.

The following link may or may not work. If it does, it will take you directly to the SMC listings:

If your device is not listed, I suggest you go to the SMC web site: Look up your product under the support or download tab and see what they have to say about your device.

I trust you will discover the answer to your question based on the links and other information I have provided you today. Thank you for your question and thank yo for your interest in

Here's a link to the DLink website were the instruction manual is located. You'll need to find your exact model number on the page I've provided, then you'll need to pick the exact model version (instructions are provided on the website) and then you can download the Product Manual from the link on the left side.

Wireless card

Please provide a little more detail.

- Are you sure this card? Did you mean USB adapter?

- What OS are you using.
- Did it install okay any error messages reported?
- Did you install it for use by all users in an administrator account?

General advice
This product has gone through many revisions and if you check the back of it it will indicate which version you have. This is important because according to the Belkin website certain versions do not work with the latest drivers and software. Please make sure that you also allow the Belkin software to control (or master) the device instead of the OS.

Hope you find this helpful and will assist you in solving your problem. If not, please add more details as requested above. It helps solution posters to provide a precise answer.

Best of luck,

Spare head 2
