Hi the solution to your problem is
A failed top screen the ribbon had gone
The green light comes on screen flashes an then goes off

Charge the battery up full again. If this doesn't work start it without any games in either slot 1 or 2. See if it powers off then. If it does then call Nintendo Repair. If it only does it with a certian game then the game itself is bad.
This is OK the Red LED Has just gone out... simply just keep an eye on time if you think that it might die soon plug it in... there is not much that you can do to fix it.
