- Well after talking to a guy on the phone who quoted an outrageous repair dollar amount, we had decided to throw the thing away. But before we did that, I picked up the right side of the TV, about 3" and dropped it on the floor a few time. The problem has disappeared, and the picture is just about perfect. I don't recommend this type of repair, but as a last resort, what could it hurt.....lol
