Re: for psp

Download xandu media player 1.2d. It has an ipod interface and is really user friendly. It displays lyrics and even has themes such as those in ipods.

How do i put music from my p c to my psp

To play mp3 on your PSP, you'll need
  • A big enough memory stick duo. The 32 Mb that comes with your psp will only fit a few songs. To really make it practical, i recommend that you try and find 1G memory stick. If you look hard enough, you'll be able to find one for about 0
  • You'll also need a Mini-USB (USB A to USB Mini-B) cable or a memory stick card reader to access your memory stick from your pc.
1. Connect to your memory stick
If you are using memory card reader I assume you already know how to do this. If you are using USB cable, simply connect the cable to your PSP and Windows will detect it as a new drive.
2. Copy your music into the folder named "MUSIC" inside the "PSP" folder.
In the memory stick, there should already be a folder called "PSP", if there aren't any, you haven't been playing any games! Inside the PSP folder, find a folder named "MUSIC". If it is not there, don't worry, simply create a new one.

Now, simply copy your mp3 songs into this "Music" folder and you're done. You can also create folders inside the "MUSIC" folder and put your songs there.

Mp3 Playback Tips

  • To save battery, you can turn of the screen by holding the brightness toggle button for more than 1 second.
  • Press the triangle button to view other options such as repeat mode and the built-in help.

What software should be use if the music in my psp cannot be found? but it can be found in computer if you insert the memory card

You don't have to use a special software to be able to play music. It cannot be found because it's probably saved in a wrong folder. Here's where it should be located (with MS as the root):
The SONG.MP3 above pertains to be the song itself. That's where you should put your songs/music collection.

I can not get my psp to take songs and play them

First, you must back up all the data in the memory stick (MS) and format it right from the PSP itself. Go to Settings> System Settings> Format Memory Stick
After formatting, you'll be ready to copy your favourite songs from your computer and save them to your PSP by locating the MUSIC folder. The MUSIC folder is usually located in (with MS as the root): MS> PSP> MUSIC> SONG.MP3
Good luck!

Every time i download a song it downloads but it does not show the song so i can play it. please help.

make sure the mp3 is in the MUSIC folder on the root of your mem stick and not in common folder. You can use a pc to transfer them or homebrew programme ad-hoc file transfer.

Downloaded music, shows artist name but no tracks??

It could be the wrong format. I used to play music off my psp. I'm guessing if you use iTunes, and imported a CD, its going to make your songs AAC format, which is also known as MP4. I have posted a link to where you can set the different compression methods. If you are using WMA format, you are using an even less compatible format, and if you import it into iTunes, it will convert it as well. To convert already imported music into iTunes, once you set the preferences to MP3, right click on the song, and click "create MP3 version." after that you may reveal the song in the finder/explorer by right clicking the song, and clicking "show in finder" or "show in explorer"

The music I put in my psp doesnt work

Make sure you have it in the "MUSIC"(all in caps) folder within the PSP folder of your Memory Stick.

Inside the Memory Stick's PSP's MUSIC folder, you should either have the song file itself(mp3 or wma) or no more than one folder.

Memory Stick>PSP>MUSIC>Gwen Stefani>Don't Speak.mp3
or simply
Memory Stick>PSP>MUSIC>Don't Speak.mp3
