Restore to factory settings does not work in an windows environment, u cant access data in the restore partion. U should restart ur computer, and press F2, (sometime DEL) to enter the setup. Check on the first screen that comes when u start/restart ur computer, it will tell u to press which key to enter the repair/re-instal function. Follow the steps appearing on the screen to bring ur computer back to teh state when it was shipped from factory. (remember to back up all ur imp data on an external HD or on a CD/DVD before resetting coz all of ur data will be erased from the system's HD). Hope this will solve the problem
