Re: plasma

Did the tv get bumped or ran into it sounds like the plasma tube is broken but i need more information to be sure, you could have a power problem or a remote problem try unplugging it for 5 minutes to reset it, then hold the power button down for 5 seconds and see if it comes on if not give me as much more info as possible.

Sounds like it's on the wrong input, maybe it's analog tuner. Have you tried changing it's input?

Vizio 42in.Plasma no picture

Make sure you're in the TV mode. I have a friend who purchased a new plasma TV and 4 months later complained that it had no picture. I turns out that she somehow accidentally pressed some mode button on the corner of her remote control that took it into some auxillary mode for an external accessory device, thereby causing the screen to black out. If it's in the TV mode and you're not getting a picture, it may need to be serviced.

My Sony Bravia has no colour, and the black and white is so dark you can't see the picture. It is less than 1 year old model # KDL-46S5100

If the picture has no color or appear as black and white only, please reset the picture setting. To reset picture setting please follow the items below:
  1. Press MENU button on your remote.
  2. Press arrowtb.png to select setting.jpgSettings, then press ok.png.
  3. Press arrowtb.png to select picturemenu.jpgPicture Menu, then press ok.png.
  4. Press arrowtb.png to select Reset, then press ok.png to reset all the Picture Settings except Picture Mode and Display Mode to the factory settings.
If this does not not work, then change the picture board in your TV.

Please rate my solution.

Good luck.

Vertical white line down centre of Soniq PT42SH plasma TV.

One of your "X" buffer boards is defective. In Panasonic plasma tv's they are located at the bootom of the set and connect directly to the plasma diplay panel via a thin ribbon cable. The board you want to replace will be directly in line with the discolored vertival line in the picture. The part number is on the circuit board and usualy starts with "tnp..." or "txp..."

if the lines covered the entiire screen, fist I would check to see if the TV's menu can be seen. If not then check the buffer boards. Next I would check the logic board
