This issue has been taken care of in the updated version. Update the Firefox and it would fix the issue.

For update , go to Help>Check for updates.

If the problem still persists, let me know.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi there,

Well first of all you can try to uninstall the Firefox browser from your computer after that reboot your computer then install it again..... If you do not have Firefox browser then download it from below link -

Note. Many time problems occur due to some file missing or corrupted.
Do not forget to reboot your system before you install the Firefox.

Post further comments for more information....

Good Luck!!

Why can't I open my email?

Hi Elizabeth
Try a different computer or call your Email Provider to see if it's at their end. They may have a server problem.

There are usually 2 ways to get to your email.
1 Using a Browser to access your account with your provider.
......A Browser like IE or Safari or Firefox.
2 Use an Application on your computer to access your account.
......."Client" software Such as Outlook, Apple Mail etc.

Email "client" software like Outlook has a settings section.
Inside there you can enter separate details for Incoming Mail and Outgoing Mail.

I receive emails on my mac and some I forward to friends, but their unable to open them youtube etc and ask I send again but when I try I cannot open either. Please Help

Hi Richard. Thers a good chance you have mail preferences setup to compose new emails in "plain text". And/Or, "Use the same message format as the original message", meaning if you reply to someone who sent you an email that is in Rich Text Format, then your reply will be in Rich Text Format but, if they send you an email in Plain Text Format, then your reply, and possibly any forwarding will be sent in Plain Text also.

For website addresses to be "clickable links" in mail, you need to ensure all emails you send, forward, or reply are in Rich Text Format.
go to Mail... Preferences... then select the Composing tab and ensure Message Format is set to "Rich Text".
Further below in the same tab you will see "Responding" and a tick box for Use the same message format as the original message (Respond using Rich or Plain Text).
If you always want to respond or forward in Rich Text only and every time, then deselect that option.
All links should work and be clickable from then onwards.

You can highlight a non working website link in the email body, right click, then select "Link" then "Add Link" to make it clickable but, you will receive a notification about converting this message to rich text format?"

Basically, the links will not be clickable if you are setup to compose new emails in Plain Text. Nor will any replies or forwards you send that are changing to Plain Text to match the format received by you from others.
Always end, reply and forward in Rich Text Format

Hope that helps.

Links aren't live

Just a guess... If you've changed from rich text formatting to plain text, that could be the problem. If that's not it, and if your email recipients use Firefox as their web browser with Windows, tell them to select the URL link (highlight the URL text) and then right-click. In the context (pop-up) menu that appears, left-click "Open in a New Tab." This may work in other browsers, too.

Gmail login

Google Chrome and Google are two different things. Chrome is a browser like Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera.
Google on the other hand is search engine. It takes your keywords and search the database it maintains. It can be used on Firefox, IE, etc.
If you do not want the Chrome browser, just uninstall it. You can also leave it installed and set Firefox or IE as your default web browser.

Yahoo email

Does it happen ONLY in Yahoo mail?? Or in other sites and/or programs as well??
* It could be a hardware problem - a faulty memory (RAM) module, a bad hard drive, problem with the video card or it's driver.

1. Begin with clearing your browser's temp files and see if it helps.
2. Download and update your motherboard drivers (ie. Chipset) and the video card driver.
3. Try using different browser (ie. Firefox, Chrome) and see if the problem repeats itself...

I cannot send out e mail on my yahoo account with facebook its okay

Like what they've asked if you are using an email client like Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Windows Mail etc. If you are not using any mail client I presume you are using an internet browser. Are you using Internet explorer 6, 7 or 8? or you are using Firefox? I'll just mention the mostly used browser.

You can try these steps I provided if you are using any of the browser I provided below. Note: This will remove all the things stored in your web browser.

Optimizing IE 6

Optimizing IE7 and 8

Optimizing Firefox 3.5.5 up
1. Open Firefox
2. Click Tools
3. Click Clear Recent History
4. On the drop down menu choose "Everything"
5. Press ok then restart firefox

I hope this helped you.

  1. Scan the item and save as a file
  2. Open a new email either on your PC email client, (ie, Outlook or thunderbird,...) or the web based email client you use (ie. Gmail, hotmail, etc.).
  3. Attach the scan to the email (they ALL have a means of attaching items to them.)
  4. Send
If you are looking to attach the text directly into an email, not as an attachment, you will need to install your HP software to do Optical Character recognition that came with your printer or from HP.Com, then scan then convert the scanned file. the only problem is you will need to correct the OCR errors, and there can be many.

Hope this helps.
