to state the amplifier has a relatively high
impedance output and is optimized for no
lower than four-Ohm loads. Are you strapping in Bridged or Stereo Mode? Bridged Mono Operation
Both amplifier channels can be bridged together to make a very powerful single-channel monaural amplifier. Use
extreme caution when operating in the bridged mode; potentially lethal voltage may be present at the output
terminals. To bridge the amplifier, depress the rear panel Bridge switch to the IN position. Direct the signal to channel
A's input and connect the speakers across the hot outputs (the "+" binding posts) of channels A and B. Only channel
A's input attenuator is active while in Bridge Mono mode. Both connectors are strapped together, so either connector
can be used with a patch cable to drive the input of another amplifier.
Unlike the stereo mode, in which one side of each output is at ground, both sides are hot in bridged mode. Channel A's
side is the same polarity as its input with the minimum nominal load impedance being 4 ohms (equivalent to driving
both channels at 2 ohms) in bridged mode. Driving bridged loads of less than 4 ohms will activate the DDT
circuitry, resulting in a loss of power, and may also cause a thermal (overheating) overload.
Therefore, check the impedance of the cabs for each mode. Remember, if you connect two individual speakers in Parallel (+ to + and - to -) you cut the impedance in half. Two 8 ohm speakers in parallel now have a load of 4 ohms. Series connection + to - to + to -, will double the impedance. Two 8 ohm speakers will have a load of 16 ohms.
I have actually taken a two speaker cab with a 4 ohm impedance and opened up the back to re-do the wiring. I rechecked the impedance with a ohm meter. So yes, be careful. Whatever you do, keep the speaker lengths as short as possible. Buy really good speaker wire or if you make your own, go with 10 gauge wire.

How do you switch the behringer 3000 to bridged mode,what settings do you use to get 1200 watts out of it.

Well... you probably won't like this, but here is some info: In bridged mode, a different Speakon to speaker cable is required from only the B... it is wired differently and you can only use one of the plugs. The speaker or speaker system CANNOT be less than 8 ohms in bridged mode... this precludes using speakers in parallel or multiple speakers that are less than 16 ohm impedance... such speakers are NOT commonly available as most are either 4 or 8 ohm. There is a slide switch for bridged mode on the face of the mixer. Next thing you won't like... The 1200 Watts specification is PEAK power, NOT RMS... You can get 400 watts RMS per side USING 4 ohm speakers. If you use 8 ohm speakers, each of those will get 200 watts. I use this mixer myself and ALSO repair them. The voltage swing at the outputs is about +/-60 volts MAX (peak). This is about 40 volts RMS by the time the circuit LOSSES are taken into account. Across a 4 ohm speaker you get 10 amps times the 40 volts or 400 watts. Across an 8 ohm you get 5 amps or 200 watts. The voltage rails in the switching amp are +/-70 volts DC so these are reasonable values. Bridged mode just uses both sides of the amp driven in opposite directions for higher voltage out BUT you have to use no less than a single 8 ohm speaker so there is NO advantage to bridged mode power wise. IF YOU NEED more power, use extra speakers from an additonal amp driven by the 1/4 TRS mains output jacks OR use additonal POWERED speakers driven from the same jacks. Please read my tip about the hazard regarding the SLEEVE of the cahnnel A cable when using Speakon to 1/4 plug cables being the HOT and the tip being the cold for channel A. Amp quit producing output, power indicator is on

it can't be a fuse cause if it was then there would be no power you might have blown the speaker terminals. did you check to see if the sub was blown.

PYLE PT2001X 3300 Watt Professional DJ Power.just had question about running this amp in bridged mode 4 ohms, here's some amp info 3300 watts total power bridged in 1 ch only.1650 each ch in stereo mode...


In bridge mode the minimum load will be 8 Ohm.
If you are using 4 Ohm speakers, it will mean you will give each side of the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Thats to much for this model.

Can you bridge the vega 124 or just use 1 channel on a punch 400x4

Here are the important concerns:
The power rating of the speaker(400W) should be 25% HIGHER than the maximum output of the amplifier BRIDGED. (Amp bridged output 200W - OK!)
The amplifier will get twice as warm running the speaker when loud.
The impedance of the speaker can be no less than 4 ohms when the amplifier is bridged. (Yes, this speaker is 4 ohms - OK!)
Your punch amp is capable of running TWO Cerwin Vega 124s, bridged.

How many speakers can I use?

This should work if channel 3 & 4 are bridged at 4 ohm.
channel 1 should be stable at 2ohm
channel 2 should be stable at 2 ohm
You can hook up the right side speakers together ( + with + and - with - ) . same thing with the left side. this will give you 2 ohm each channel. this will cause your amp to run hot (this might be tuff on the amp). It will give you right (2 speakers) and left ( 2 speakers ), no front and rear adjustement if you need to balance your sound. I think you should be better buying another amp for your sub and take your 4 channels for your 4 car speakers. this amp as a rca output that can feed the other amp ( sub amp ). it is possible to do it.

I found this amp and I can't seem to figure out what the wattage is?

You are probably aware on how to use these output figures, but I'll write a quick explanation on the specifications for future readers anyways :)

The concpet CC-452 amplifier has the following power output specifications:

Calculated at 14.5 volts DC;

At 4 ohms per channel - 45 watts x 2 (RMS)
At 2 ohms per channel - 70 watts x 2 (RMS)
At 4 ohms bridged - 150 watts x 1 (RMS)

This means that your amplifier would provide 45 watts of power each for your front speakers, which are normally a 4 ohm load per side (45 watts for left, 45 watts for right), that's unless they are one of those exotic higher end brands (eg: Boston Z6s which are 3 ohms). Rarely, you will find speakers that are rated at 2 ohms per side, but in this instance the amplifier will provide 70 watts of power into each speaker. On your speaker specifications, you will find a value termed "nominal impedance" which will give you the ohm rating of the speakers being used..

On the other hand, if you "bridge" both channels into a single channel (using a diagram often marked on the speaker terminals of the amp), you could then provide 150 watts into a subwoofer (providing it was a 4 ohm woofer).

It's not recommended to use this amp bridged under 4 ohms..

Some subwoofers may be lower than 4 ohms, and you will not be able to use this amplifier for these types of speakers without risking amplifier failure. Also, some subwoofers may have 2 seperate voice coils, and you will have to use both channels of the amplifier seperately (not bridged) in order to correctly connect this type of speaker for use.

Hi monmax,
I hope you are aware that in bridged mode your amp will become monaural (single channel, double power). If you still wish to bridge it:
Switch of power.
Set mode switch behind amp to "bridge" position.
Connect speaker positive to CH1+ve terminal of amp output and connect speaker negative to CH2 +ve terminal.
Be aware that now, in bridged mode your amps output power delivery is 1100 watts for a 4 ohm speaker and 900 watts for an 8 ohm speaker. Make sure your speaker can handle that.

400 watts delivered to 300 watt speakers the only way to do this would be to wire two subwoofers in series so that the power needed to drive them will be 600 watts to max, however this will increase your impedance on the speaker (8 ohms) load so what you can do to compensate is get an 8 ohm 600 watt resistor and put it in parallel with the speakers you will then have 4 ohms of impedance at a total capacity of 600 watts of power In other words the amplifier won't blow these out now.

I do not reccommend that you push the Pioneer speakers over 100 watts.  The jenson will already drown the car with bass through your pioneers so much you will want to turn off the bass boost when playing some low bass hip hop songs. It changes from one venue of song to another, so I just keep the jenson bass boost off and use my head unit to adjsut the sound to fit my listening prefences. I am telling you man, you will be blown away .  Hook up the pioneers straight to the Channels,. do not bridge.  I put Subs in my truck though.  I used the Pass output to send the audio to me Jenson 2 Channel 600W amp. I drive one 10 inch enclosed JBL Class A/B Sub. I bridged the output of the 600 W amp to the 10 inch sub  in my Z28.  The pioneers never get drowned out.  I did smoke my 2 channel Amp one time. and also took out a MTD 10inch sub. I am talk shooting flames and smoked the whole car up. I think if you bride the XA4150 to the pioneers, you will have the flaming smoke problem in no time.
