Question about Sony VAIO VGN-FS980 Notebook
Sony fs980 powers on but does not fully boot to windows
just hangs on a flashing cursor
cannot boot to safe mode or any of the F keys. Someone suggested a motherboard issue can that be tested for sure without stripping it down
I think your MBR in HDD has gone bad. Unless you have got some data in your notebook for which you can pay any amount of money, do re-install your OS, format only the partition on which your earlier OS was there, or to a partition where you don't have important data. hope you understand the procedure.
This should solve your problem.Best of Luck. Please rank me appropriately. If you want any clarification, Please get back to me
