Look for reset button usually located on the bottom of the camera. use a thumbtack or paperclip and put it in the reset hole and hold down for a few seconds. let me know how it turns out.

Internal memory

Check with your memory card if it had any virus with an uptodate antivirus. try recollecting your lost files using recuva software @ I am providing you the link over here you may try restoring factory settings in the digital camera if it doesn't work try using a different memory card other than the earlier one you were using.

make sure that you don't have virus in your memory card. format all memory spaces and then again reset it. restore to factory setting

Insert the card. Go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

I have a Canon EOS450D. I used to download pictures to my laptop but after Norton technician fixed the virus problem on it, I can no longer download pictures. Please help. Thank you.

y fixing the virus the guy probably got your laptop back to factory settings and the driver for your Canon is lost. Reinstall the camera software to your laptop and it should work again.

remove memory card then check .resetr all settingxs to factory defsults.
may be your memory card is virus infected.
revove it then check.

4 GB CF will not initalise

Yea I have the same camera, and this camera only will works with a maximum 2gb card, because the camera uses fat16 format, and fat 16 will only adreeses up to 2 gb.

new models works with fat32 then they will works with bigger cards.

Freezing up

this happens due to the firmware problem(this occurs due to virus attack) ....

locate the reset option from the menu & give the reset( restore factory settings) in your cam ...

this solves all your firmware problems .......

CD contains a virus

ok, a generic factory made cd has a trojan on it? sound more like an exploited bug. your sure its not already on your computer? what is this camera, is it a: ViviCam 35 Digital Camera? i hope so cause this is where you will find a driver and manual for it: good luck and i hope it doesn't stay a 5mp paper weight.
