Samsung SPL-4225 with Chassis AA98-00188A it comes on then shuts off in 3 seconds. I replaced C405, C406, C407, C408 since they were puffed up, but the problem remains. What other part needs be replaced?

Hi, if you have the service manual, check the power components related with these capacitors (power transistors, diodes, etc), commonly a capacitor is puffed up when receives more voltage than which can handle.

Did power signal lights appear? If there's no power signal lights, check the fuse, located at the power supply. If the fuse is good, maybe the power supply is dead. There's a leak capacitor in the power supply.Try to replace all the leak capacitor..The leak capacitor can identify through visual checking when you didn't know how to use tester. The leak capacitor is rounded top shape and have moise at the top, compare to flated shape of good capacitor. Thanks, hope will it help you..

mostly this problem cause opto coupler is short. change the opto coupler and related parts like transistors, zener diode.and check all diodes&capacitors is power supply. you find any leaky or damaged part change it.

No power

No fuse, but it may be repairable, take cover off, there should be a protection diode at the end of red wire. To check this you need a ohm meter, check to see if open or burned, check resistors and capacitors around this for burned,puffed-up,etc.Also check the circuit board for burn trace. hope this helps..

Dead Set after power surge

Check the power supply transformer primary driver transistor and the associated components (some diodes and capacitors, resistors, an optocoupler maybe) and the rectifier diodes (or a bridge) and capacitors at the transformer secondary, what you are looking for is a short circuit, however, the short may as well be in another section of the circuit board (a shorted component may sometimes have signs of damage caused by heat, but this is not a rule).

Hope you can find out what it is...

Yuraku LCD TFT Monitor MA7BBA Wont power up

I've had the diods problem on such a monitor recently. To fix it I had to change the fuse and two 1N4007 diods as you can see on the following page:

You will notice I mounted the replacement diods on the solder side ( second hand components with too short leads) and that only 3 diod locations are seen on the component side; the fourth is hidden under the transformer on the top side.

Hope this can still be of any help.
