-   I have the same problem; the LG RC 199H player either doesn't recognize a disk or once it starts playing it freezes and the only way to get the disk out is to unplug the machine then plug it back in. When I bought it the sales person at Best Buy told me it was the best player/recorder they had. It was the fist DVD player we bought and thought at first it was bad disks. Now we know the player/recorder is just a piece of junk!-   affranchi

-   I have the same problem too, in addition to the DVD player cannot read any of my other DVDs. At the time I purchased this player, it was quite expensive. -   Guest

-   It records just fine and plays back it's own disks, but it's disks will not play in any other player or in the computer. In fact computers even read them as blank disks.-   Guest
