Check to make sure your selected inputs are correct ( ie cable, TV, antenna, VGA, etc).

Next, go to "menu", then "Settings", then "Factory Reset" and see if that works.

You might try to run the auto channel setup as well.

If none of these work-- or if you end up with audio but no video-- then your TV is junk. Polaroid will offer you a repair service for a flat rate of $100 if you ship the TV to thier facility in NY at your cost-- but that's not really cost effective as the TV only costs $150.

Personally, I'm done with Polaroid products-- they just don't last much more than 2 years.

How to Fix a Polaroid LCD TV Screen

A Polaroid LCD TV delivers its picture via DVD player or cable connection to your home or office. After setting up your device and using it, you might experience technical difficulties with power loss and picture quality. Navigating through a few steps of self-maintenance will have your Polaroid TV running smoothly again in little time. You can examine your TV's power cord for damage, rewire a DVD player connection, and adjust your Polaroid's backlight.
Difficulty:Moderate Instructions

Turn your Polaroid around so that the back is facing you, as a first step in correcting a power loss issue. Examine the length of the power cord from the back panel of the Polaroid to the wall outlet for damage, such as tears or rips. Replace the cord, if you see damage. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet and inspect the metal receptors (prongs) for dirt. If the prongs are dirty, clean them with a dry cleaning cloth. Plug a separate electrical device into the outlet and turn it on to confirm that the outlet is performing correctly. Plug the Polaroid TV back into the outlet, and try again.

Twist the Polaroid TV's back panel towards you so that the connected cables and jacks are easily accessible to you. If you're experiencing problems getting a picture from your DVD player, inspect the connection of the audio/video cables to your "Composite In" jacks. There are three cables in a standard audio/video setup: a yellow cable, a red cable, and a white cable. Unplug all three cables from their jacks to reset the connection. Insert the yellow-tipped cable into the "Video" port, which is yellow-colored to make matching the cables easier. Insert the white-tipped cable into the "L" (left audio) port and the red-tipped cable into the "r" (right audio) port. Perform the same steps on the audio/video cable out ports of the DVD player, and try again.

Raise the TV's backlight level, if you're having trouble seeing the picture. Push the "Menu" button (located on your remote control), and the TV setup menu will appear. Use the navigation buttons located on your remote control to scroll to "Image," and push "Ok" -- located within the navigational buttons on your remote control. A list of options will be displayed, such as "Contrast," "Hue," and "Saturation." Choose "Brightness" from the options. Use the four-way navigation buttons to raise the brightness (make your screen brighter and more illuminated) or lower the brightness (make your screen darker).

Polaroid TV – Model # 02611C FR8G-1188-1206 was working find, picture and audio, then I plugged a Radio Shack wireless headset in and it turned the audio off. I unplugged the headset, restarted the tv,...

Good day!!!!

There's a possibility that the sound board got faulty after you plug the headset..But before we decide to replaced the sound board lets make some observation and initial repair..

Lets see the screen of your TV having headset icon,,if have try to power off your TV and find the headset female connector on your TV then blow air on the connector using compressor or if you don't have compressor the human air blow is enough..

And also I want you to try other ordinary headset with a very low volume of TV to avoid damage of headset..If you hear sounds of headset the sound board is good..

Try those procedure and let me know the info..

Just keep on touch to me and I will do my best to help you because that is my primary goal here in fixya,to help people like you..

I can't get tv to send sound to sound system

Having browsed the user manual I wonder if you plugged in the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System while the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv was powered down via the optical cable .
Then powered up the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System first and then powered up the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv
Maybe the Polaroid FLM-2632 TV has to detect that the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System is connected and powered up when the Polaroid FLM-2632 powers up. To activate its digital audio out ????
The note part about only being available only under HDTV (cable/air) mode. Might be the cause of your hassle also ?
