Does the kodak 8500 thermal printer work on windows vista?

There are no drivers for the kodak 8500 thermal printer for windows vista so I doubt it would work. The only operating systems that the drivers are available in are windows 98, 2000, ME, and xp.

Is not printing and is connected with usb and all connections are fine

The key here is your driver and your operating system. You haven't shared either in your question. I've found that MAC systems operating with Leopard and Snow Leopard can't address the 8500 no matter what I seem to do. My gut tells me you may have same issue with Vista and perhaps Windows 7 since Kodak stopped supporting this printer several years ago and all the drivers were written for earlier OS.

If you are still on XP, then you might consider reinstalling your print driver and going thru setup once again.

This is a great printer when you get it to work. I love mine.

Just installed Apple new "Snow Leopard" and now my Kodak 8500 printer is not printing.

Hi there

Was it working before the Snow Leopard? If so, was Snow Leopard a new installation or an upgrade over an existing one?

Thanks

Paper jam

it takes a little bit of disarming because you've got to clean the rubber rolls that "pull" the paper, a pair of grey rubbers almost cilindrical with a flat side located over the top of the paper, and happens that you cant clean them properly if you dont disarm the printer. These rubbers must mantain their "stickyness" to be able to pull the paper properly and with the use they become dirty.
That is the problem, so take your screwdriver and some isopropilic alcohol and ...........good luck.
