Take the back cover off and see if the black mesh material is intact and still covering the internal speaker. blow out the speaker area if you can, and take your battery out of the phone and leave it out for about 20 minutes. put it back in and verify that your volume is all the way up, and its on the LOUD setting. also, try using a different ringtone, or just a differend sound all together......if you can, use a flashlight to shine through the mesh material that covers the internal speaker ( on the back of the phone, behind the back cover, to the left of the flash and lens) and try to see if it atleast APPEARS intact.......another thing you can try, would be to call that phone, and while the phone is ringing, place it up against your ear, without the back cover on the phone, and see if you can hear anything at all.

if this does not work, then you either have a bad speaker, or a bad conenction. either way, you need to take the phone back to the store and have them take it apart and inspect it, or just have them send it back to the manufacturer for repairs.......and enjoy the piece of **** phone that they give you to use in the mean time....sorry about the joke, but thats the way they usually do it......especially t-mobile....

Not sure if the pearl interface is the same as mine, a Storm - I have an option on my main screen to fast-select ring volume (called Notification), which affects both calls and messages, and I can choose loud, soft, vibrate, silent, and also go into options for more detailed settings. You may have such an option that is easy to find, and maybe easy to set by mistake, without realising it.

Pearl manual at this location:
http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/1217/userguide_bb8100_gprs.pdf
see p193, Notification Profiles.
There are other keys, eg # that affect notification sounds/vibrate. Download and search in the manual for 'Notification" to find all the places mentioned.

Even if you have a paper manual, I recommend keeping the electronic one since you can easily search for keywords and find all the places they are mentioned quickly.

Alarm quit working, Blackberry pearl 8130

I wonder if changing your theme would fix this issue. It might be a corrupt theme? You might be able to also get the Alarm Pro which is an add-on software. The other thing you can try is changing the volume level. Put it to loud if it isn't at loud or put it to normal if it is at loud. Some people have solved this issue by clearing the cache option too.

Too loud!!

You can hit the arrow button to make sure your on the main screen there should be an icon with a loud speaker either in top right corner of main screen or by pressing the blackberry button. Then selecting the volume button. If this doesn't work send me some clarification and I will Troubleshoot further.
