Question about GE Profile 30" Built-In Single Electric Convection Wall Oven - Stainless-Steel

1 Answer

I have recently replaced the control panel because the oven was acting funny (turning on by itself to odd settings etc) this is the second time I have done this in 12 months. I installed it about a week ago and used the oven probably 4 times and now I am having the same problem. Is there a way to fix these panels or do I have to get a new one again? what would the permanent solution be so this does not happen again? Could there be a problem with the wiring in my house? could this problem be from power serges? The part number is WB27T10219 purchased from partselect.

Wolf ovens getting err message after power outage

I had a Wolf 30F wall oven with a similar problem
after power outage. It wouldnt stop beeping with error message related
to temperature control. My solution was to turn power of at circuit
panel, then reset by pressing and holding the clear button for 5
seconds.

Also note: in my case I had to close the display
before switching the panel off. When I tried to the reset process with
the panel showing, it wouldn\'t reset.

To reset other
various parts of the control panel Instructions said:

Time-of-Day Clock

Immediately after the oven is installed, set
the 12-hour clock to the current time of day. It may need to be reset
after a prolonged power failure. The clock is visible on the control
panel during all modes. If the upper oven timer is set, the clock will
not be visible in the upper oven control panel display.

SETTING CLOCK

1) Touch CLOCK.

2) Touch number pads to
set current time of day.

3) Touch CLOCK or ENTER to start
clock.

24-HOUR CLOCK

The time-of-day clock can be
changed from a 12-hour clock to a 24-hour clock. After the clock has
been set, touch TEMPERATURE for three seconds, touch CLOCK, and then
touch ENTER. Follow the same sequence to change back to the standard
12-hour clock setting.

Fahrenheit to Celsius

The
oven can be changed from Fahrenheit (°F) temperature to Celsius
(°C).

Hi. All of a sudden neither the top or the bottom ovens will heat up, even tho electricity is getting to the control panel. What is the problem and what is the solution?

Your high limit thermostat is either tripped or blown. must remove unit from wall it is on the back wall of oven under panel. I would suggest having a professional look at it for you.

Touch pad screen is broken, only some of the keys work. You can turn it on and off and set temp by the auto set keys. All other keys do not work, time, light, temp settings, broil etc....

THIS IS A TOUGH SPOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE A GOOD WORKING OVEN BUT YOUR CONTROLS ARE SHOT AND THE REPAIR PRICE IS HIGH. THE TOUCH PANEL YOU NEED IS A PART #5765M474-60 PCB DISPLAY AND IT RETAILS FOR $263.33 JUST FOR THE PART. WHAT SOUNDS LIKE MAY HAVE HAPPENED IS THE PANEL BROKE SOME OF THE WIRE MEMBRANES IN THE PANEL ITSELF. THE MEMBRANES ARE JUST VERY THIN FLAT WIRES THAT RUN ON THE BACK OF THE TOUCH PANEL AND THE DAMAGED ONES ARE THE ONES YOU CAN NO LONGER OPERATE. THE REAL QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF IS HOW MUCH IS THIS OVEN WORTH AND IF REPAIRED HOW MUCH LIFE TILL YOU THINK IT MAY NEED TO BE REPAIRED AGAIN. YOU MAY BE BETTER OFF USING IT TILL IT FINALLY DIES OR REPLACING IT. HOWEVER IF YOU REALLY ENJOY YOUR OVEN AND WANT IT BROUGHT BACK TO 100% CHECK WITH SOME PARTS SELLERS AND GET YOUR NEW PANEL ORDERED. WWW.SEARSPARTDIRECT.COM OR WWW.REPAIRCLINIC.COM

GE JKP45 double wall oven shuts off

This sounds like a loose connection (solder joint) on the main control board. I had one that had a similar problem. checked the price of a control board $350. I took the control panel off, took the board apart and found a loose connection on one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection. oven works fine now.

F6E0

Last night I saw the lights in the house flicker momentarily... This morning, I turned the oven on, set it to Bake and within a few seconds, the control panel reported error code “F6 E0” then shut the oven off. The control panel also reported "Lost communication...". I read on another site that this code may require replacing the control panel itself. Apparently, the momentary power fluctuation wasn't large enough to damage the electronics (since the control panel still works), but was significant enough to confuse the electronics controlling the oven. To fix the oven, I simply turned the 30 AMP breaker for the oven off for about 5 minutes. When I turned it back on, the oven worked just fine. Solution #1 recommends taking off the control panel, which voids the warranty. It's more likely that it was fixed just by cycling power to the oven via the breaker.

KitchenAid KERA807PSS01 oven won't shut off until breaker thrown

assuming its a stainless stell oven? if so heres the par tyou need its a membrane switch( your cancel button ceased to operate corrrect???not a bad part to install you need to remove a few screws from under control panel itself( perhaps a few on the sides, the front control will lift off and this part is installed from behind the control panel (SHUT THE BREAKER(S))

part number 9756595ES

in the mean time instead of shuttin off the breaker toreset you can simply( requires reading manual ) set your oven to time bake. it will shut off automatically after predetermined time has been obtained.
